Commander Thomas M. Pattullo was raised in Chicago, Il. and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was commissioned in 1985 through the Aviation Officer Candidate School and was designated as a Naval Flight Officer in July 1986. During his naval career which spanned over 20 years. "Pluto" served with Fighter Squadron ONE TWO FOUR (VF-124) at NAS Miramar, CA. Fighter Squadron ONE NINE ONE (VF-191), Fighter Squadron ONE TWO THREE (VF-123) the Black Lions, the Air Test and Evaluation Squadron FOUR (VX-4) at Point Mugu, CA, the F-14D software upgrades and tactical manual production, Fighter Squadron TWO (VF-2) the Bounty Hunters in San Diego, CA for a super-JO tour flying F-14D Tomcats, the Red Rippers of Fighter Squadron ELEVEN (VF-11), the F-14 Readiness Officer at Naval Air Forces, Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, VA and finally, as the Commanding Officer, Fleet Aviation Specialized Operational Training Group, Atlantic Fleet, Norfolk, Va.
CDR Pattullo accumulated over 500 carrier-arrested landings and over 2700 flight hours in various Naval aircraft. CDR Pattullo's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Strike/Fight Air medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards) and the Navy Achievement Medal. |
