This Foundation is being established to honor the life of Commander Thomas M. Pattullo. For three years, Tom had fought, but lost, a courageous battle against melanoma, a malignant type of cancer. During this time, his life was made richer by the men and women who helped him with his fight, including the doctors and nurses at the National Cancer Institute (NIH) in Bethesda, MD and at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, VA.
Tom loved his career in the military. He truly enjoyed flying in his F-14 Tomcat. His call sign was "Pluto" and his motto was "God, Family and Country". Tom showed his love for his God and country through his service in the Navy, and his family was his pride.
Tom felt a strong bond with his fellow military brothers and sisters. Tom and his family believe it is their duty to honor and take care of their own. We wish to pay tribute to Tom and the men and women with whom he served .
The foundation is collecting donations to purchase DVD, CD and MP3 players, DVD's and CD's for his fellow service members who are currently fighting a battle with cancer in the Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
